Late December is a great time to look back on the year. I’ve been reviewing and reflecting on my photos of families in the Burlington, Vermont area. Here are some of my favorites from the past year. I’m already looking forward to and planning next year!
Best Photo Bomb
Let’s start with something fun! I was capturing the sweetest mom and daughter moments this fall when Lucky, the family dog, ran into the frame! It might not be an award worthy photo, but it sure was a special one!
Best Tickle Fight
Mom and Dad thought their 7 year old would just run up and give them a hug. But, no, it turned into a family tickle fight with big smiles and belly laughs all around. Gosh this job is fun!!!
Best Bear Hug
Mom and daughter lit up when Dad surprised them with a big bear hug. This family of Texans loves to travel together and I was honored to be a part of their trip to Vermont.
The Way Parenting Feels…
We parents want our kids to grow, learn and try new things. Yet, those first new steps can be hard to watch. As a mother of four, I really resonate with the expression on Dad’s face! And, my goodness, those girls are sweet as pie!
Best Quiet Mom and Dad Moment
I know parents don’t get much time alone during daylight hours, especially when the kids are very young. It’s one of the reasons I always get a few images of just the parents.
Best Unicorn!
I don’t get many opportunities to photograph unicorns so I jump on every chance I get. This is one of my all time favorite unicorn photos.
Love
It is impossible to pick a most loving photo, but a few stood out to me this year. Each represents a very special moment in a pivotal life season. I love being invited to help people document and tell these stories.
Thinking of Booking Family or Pet Photo Session?
I photograph families of all ages as well as pets in the Burlington Vermont area year round. My work is inspired by nature so all of my sessions are outdoors.
I generally book 6 or more weeks in advance so please reach today to schedule your upcoming session.
